The Cozy Canadian Witch's Cottage

Hello friends!

Thank you for your dear sweet comments on The Goblin Mine Woodland, the Goblins are quite happy to hear you think they're adorable :P

I have been deep in my Canadian history studies, concocting ideas for paintings.

I am planning a new series of Canada themed folk paintings that will be debuting one by one soon so watch this space :)

In the mean time I got some beautiful new blue goldstone runes for Etsy readings.

And am starting a collection of jewel toned potion bottles.

And have hung this stunning tapestry from India with moons and stars and the astrological wheel on it above my altar and fortune telling desk.

Carefully choosing crystal by crystal to hold and meditate on, angelite has been my favourite for anxiety lately.

Snuggled under my Hudson's Bay Company blanket, so historical and Canadian.  If you don't know the history the Hudson's Bay Company was founded in 1670 and is the oldest corporation in North America.  It started by trading these blankets to the Aboriginal peoples for furs.

Hope your winter is cozy and snuggly and full of love!

Blessings,
Jennifer

Everything is so beautiful! I love your tapestry, bottles, and your blanket is gorgeous in its simplicity. It has such a nostalgic look, perhaps nautical feel to it.

I hope your studies are going well, and that you feel a sense of calm.

XOXO

I feel like a tool - I thought you were American! Hmm...
I suppose native Engish speakers will always get lumped together in the eyes of foreigners :)

Your home is the most magical.. I love your fortune telling corner. Oh, and to have -40 degrees as you have, I almost can´t imagine. My mum used to live on the Canadian praire in the 1970´s and she has told me about those very cold winters. Much love

I recently picked up a blanket just like yours in a charity shop. I wonder if it's a Hudson Bay one? Quite excited now :)

Love your fortune telling corner. xx

Oooh! I love the goldstone runes and I've always liked coloured glass. So pretty with candles, warm with red and ethereal with blue. You've found some lovely shapes.

When I was a kid, my Dad had a brown paper bag from the Hudson's Bay Company which he treasured from a trip to Canada.

Keep warm!

Ooo that looks like one heck of a snuggly blanket, how do you ever get out of bed?

That new tapestry is stunning, it looks wonderful in over your fortune telling desk.

Your altar and fortune telling desk are beautiful. One day, when we move into a bigger space. I'll have a bigger altar space again. I miss having that.
